NOVEMBER WRAP UP

Another moth has gone by and tomorrow starts December! I love celebrating Christmas, so I am really happy about it, but let’s first get into the books I read this month.

Når man forveklser kærlighed med en saks af Tomas Lagermand Lundme
– This was really powerful novel with some really important themes. Unfortunately I didn’t feel as connected with the characters as I would have liked. It’s a Danish book, and I have a review here. 3/5 stars

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness – I really enjoyed this book, it had a diverse cast of characters, which was soo amazing. It was quick and fun. Review here. 3/5 stars

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness – This book was so heartbreaking, and I loved every part of it. The illustrations were beautiful, and Conor was adorable. I highly recommend it, book review here. I also got to watch the movie early, and it was maybe even better – link to review here. 4/5 stars

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling – I had the best time revisiting Harry, and I highly encourage you all to reread a book, it is the best time. I especially feel like Christmas is the perfect time of year to do it – I wrote a full discussion post about rereading books a couple of months ago, link here. 5/5 stars

Hamilon: The Revolution by Lin Manuel Miranda and Jeremy Carter – I love, love, love Hamilton, and readings this book was everything I needed. The essays were a little hard to get through sometimes, but reading all Lin’s thoughts during the songs was so amazing. If you haven’t started listening to Hamilton yet, you definitely should – I have a tag about it here4/5 stars

That was all the books I read this month. I am currently in the middle of Dracula and Jane Eyre as well, so hopefully I can finish those next month. I am also really looking forward to reading My True Love Gave to Me with my book club TeaTimeReaders next month as well as Deathly Hallows and Chamber of Secrets Illustrated 🙂

I overall had a really great month. I wrote a post on periods in books, and I got an incredible response. The post has right now gotten 460 views, which is absolutely amazing, thank you!! I am so happy to see how many people are interested in this, and I believe we can make this happen!

Did you have a good month? Did you read anything good?

xx,

Fiona
