GUIDE TO THE ONLINE BOOK COMMUNITY

One of the best things about reading is sharing you love and opinions with other passionate readers, and that is why I today am going to introduce you guys to the online book community! There are a lot of different platforms and I am going to recommend some people from each, so let’s just get started!

Blogs

The great thing about blogs is that you can really express a lot of things in a perfect and detailed way. These three blogs are all filled with well-written book reviews, book tags, discussions and monthly favorite, wrap ups and tbr’s.

Youtube

Even though I am a blogger, youtube definitely is my favorite platform to watch people talk about books.

1. PolandbananasBOOKS

Christine is a always smiling and enthusiastic person. She mainly reads young adult fantasy and contemporary and has a lot of booktalks, funny sketches, book hauls and book tags on her channel. Christine is also one of the three members of the book club Booksplosion.

2. Peruseproject

3. ABookUTopia

Sasha is really into urban fantasy and historical fiction. She always talks very nicely and casually to the camera, which makes you feel like you are old friends. She does a lot of book tags, challenges, wrap up and tbr’s. She is the other half of the Perustopia book club.

4. JesseTheReader

Jesse has a really corny humor and all of his videos are really funny to watch. Besides reading young adult fantasy, he also really likes middle grade adventure and comic books. He is part of Booksplosion with Christine and Kat.

Instagram

I find this to be my favorite place to discuss things and it is also full of very pretty pictures of books.

Goodreads

This is like Facebook for readers. You can update your followers on Goodreads on what you’re reading and share your reviews. I love Goodreads and I will highly suggest you get an account. I will recommend you the reviewers from Goodreads that I really like.

1. Emily May

2. Khahn

3. Bloggers/booktubers/bookstagrammers that you love from other platforms.

That was all for today! I hope you found some new book people that you like.

xoxo,

Fiona
